sudo vi /etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf

Code:

supersede domain-name “mydomain.com”;
prepend domain-name-servers 192.168.1.1

Now this will be added to the resolve.conf after a resetart/reboot or network service restart

NB: Tested with Ubuntu
