In part one, I talked about the planning process and how to choose your keywords; here we will talk about using your keywords to write optimal content!

Here are some basic guidelines that you are going to have to use in order to obtain optimal SEO copy:
Have around 250-300 words per page
Have 7 to 10% keyword density
3-tiered structure with keyword rich headings for each section!

Using Your Keywords in the ad-text
Keywords. It's all about keywords. Whenever you write any of your copy for an SEO optimised website, you should write with site wide keywords and page specific keywords on your mind. In a nutshell this will require you to repeat your keywords as often as possible! You should also write a paragraph so that keywords are mentioned as early as possible, since many search engines place more importance on keywords near the top of the page than if it sees keywords at the bottom of a page.

Please note: The paragraph above has about 80 words in it & uses the term "keyword" eight different times! A keyword density of 10%! Not Bad at all really! Possibly a bit too good but you get the idea!
You should keep keyword density between 7 & 10%. Oh and words in links count too!

Is there an online system that calculates the keyword density?

Excellent!

Very handy tool, I have booked marked that.

Cheers

PS. I might write something similar ;)

Are there any other useful online SEO tools that we should be aware of?

Is there anything to check for a chosen keyword where we appear in google?

Well the biggest help you can get for SEO related reporting is from google webmasters,

it will also allow you to put your robots.txt file and to submit your sitemap to them.
I will do a more detailed post later when i get a chance but if anyone wants they can go to webmasters and it explains everything you need to do!

Personally I am pretty new to SEO techniques, tips and tricks but have been doing a little research recently and found a neat little trick that can help promote new traffic.

To get traffic from search engines you need links to your website, lots of links. This is because the search engines give better rank to pages with inbound links than to pages with little or no links. Here's an easy way to get links from blog comments to your blog and then hopefully to your website.

Just type the following search query into Google:

wordpress comments "your keywords"

Where you replace "your keywords" with the specific keywords you are targeting with your website.

When you search like this you'll find wordpress blogs related to your niche audience, where you can then post relevant comments on their blogs and include a link back to your site.

TIP: Make sure to use different variations of your keywords when you link back!

A good strategy when commenting on blogs is to write something that adds value to the discussion. That way some people reading your comment will become interested in what you do and hopefully click through to your website to check you out.

Links from blogs in the same niche as your website are a lot more valuable for SEO than links from random unrelated blogs. The search engines consider the theme of the link when deciding how to rank your site.

It may not be rocket science but it does help in getting targeted traffic to your blog or website that have a genuine interest in what you do or say and that has to be helpfull for your SEO.

It's certainly not the definitive way to enhance your SEO but every little helps in todays scramble in reaching the top of todays major search engines.

I liked this article so much that I decided to put it on my blog too ;-)
